Excellent trip, The guide was great with our children, keeping them motivated and interested. We met local people, tried many tropical fruits, learned about local culture, farming, etc... It was very hot but the guide and driver were accommodating with water stop and when we decided to drive on A/C van in stead of cycle. Our only thing is that we never managed to eat all the food we were served at lunch and dinner. Perhap it would be better to have a child rate (lower rate) and provide less food at meals. We fell we wasted a lot of food. The trip was really fun and interesting. We learned about ride and coconut factories and more... Loc was great guide that stopped at places to show us fruits or people. When we did not have water, he would stop to more. The driver was nice and good. Great all around experience beyond just the cycling. We were also having a great culture experience with the Vietnamese cruise and very interesting about the way of life for the people of the country and also the country history. Our guide was amazing. We went on cycling tour in Mekong Delta by Vietnam Backroads. Van tailored-made a 4 days trip, from Saigon to Phu Quoc Island. Then we had an another week on beaches in Phu Quoc. We loved biking on the trails of the Mekong Delta and really enjoyed our trip very much. Thang was knowledgeable and kind and funny and answered all of our questions, and he took extra time to show us more based on our interests. I would love to come back and do it again. A thoroughly enjoyable tour. Thang were an excellent guide. Very friendly, informative and helpful. Loi, our driver was an excellent. One suggestion- A local map showing the town and village on the tour would help. The home-stay was beautiful. We were looked after very well. I highly recommend this tour. 26-27 Dec 2014

Dear Phuc, We checked in to our Hoi An hotel a little while ago. Big thank you from the girls and me for such a fantastic experience. Mike/Thien was a wonderful guide, giving excellent directions, knowing when to take breaks and when to carry on, very hospitable with food and rest, knew and explained local culture well and above all ensured we had a safe and enjoyable ride. Mr. Thuc was also a great support with the van. We had such a great time we hope to come back for a longer ride maybe in the winter sometime. We named our tour " HELLO 2 weddings and a funeral" Our cycling trip from Ho Chi Minh City To Phnom Penh was an experience my partner and myself will cherish for the rest of our lives. We were blessed and most fortunate to have had Loc as our guide. The love and passion he has for Vietnam, its food, its people and their culture opened our hearts and enabled us to experience a country like never before. This young man of 25 years of age had us captivated the whole trip with his humble compassionate heart. We were stopped on our path and invited in to 2 weddings on the same day. Both involved doing countless shots of rice wine and food being handed to you from every direction. We were overwhelmed by their generosity, their interest in us but most of all by their acceptance and love. We also were invited to join a large group who for every year for a generation celebrate the passing of a loved one. Well this involved pretty much the same as the weddings, rice wine shots, food and packed you up with mangoes or coco nuts to take with you. For a country that has a lot to see like Halong Bay, Sapa, Cu Chi tunnels, Hoi An, Danang ......................... we did the tourist route. Hi Mekong Bike Tours, Recommend cycling early in the morning- the heat is very bad in the middle of the day. Frozen water in bottles might be good to help with the heat. Hotels should serve espresso coffee I love the backroads. Wow, much better than I expected Highlights: - Excellent guide, so friendly, so helpful - Smiling, cheerful, happy driver - Great bikes - Viet Cong boat trip, crocodile farm - Scenery is superb.
