The Best Ha Noi Southern Cycling Holiday offers breathtaking mountainous landscapes, unspoiled natural beauty, and authentic tribal cultural immersion, along with the chance to learn more about local flora and fauna. Explore the picturesque Mai Chau Valley, home to rolling hills and vibrant hill-tribe communities. Discover the stunning terraced rice fields, dramatic mountain passes, and charming ethnic minority villages in Pu Luong.

Cycling through Cuc Phuong National Park—a lush subtropical lowland forest—shelters rare inhabitants such as the elusive clouded leopard and the Asian black bear. Take a rowed boat cruise through the natural beauty of Tam Coc, often called “Ha Long Bay on land,” which is renowned for its serene winding rivers, majestic limestone karsts, and mysterious water caves nestled between emerald rice fields.

At 8:00 AM, depart from the hotel for a scenic two-hour transfer to the shores of Hoa Binh Lake. En route, visit a traditional Muong ethnic minority village before collecting our bicycles and setting off to explore this spectacular lake region.

The cycling route follows quiet country lanes through peaceful rural landscapes, offering beautiful views of Hoa Binh Lake and the surrounding limestone karst mountains. Ride along gently rolling paved roads, climbing gradually to a high point of 264 metres before continuing over undulating terrain to a suspension bridge, passing through a series of charming villages and small local towns.

After crossing the bridge, tackle another short climb before joining National Highway QL6. Enjoy a well-earned lunch in Tan Lac. Following lunch, relax aboard the support vehicle for the transfer to Mai Chau, where the day's ride concludes. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Rest your legs by the pool, soak in the tranquil surroundings, and enjoy a spectacular sunset over the beautiful valleys of Mai Chau.

Today’s cycling is easier and more relaxing, as we gradually descend from the mountains to the lowland plains. The day begins with a delightful breakfast before a short transfer along a quiet rural road leading to the Kho Muong village gate. From here, begin your scenic ride into vibrant local villages, where you’ll admire lush terraced fields, traditional stilt houses, rolling hills, and gently undulating forests. Descend into a serene green valley, then turn onto charming S-shaped paths that wind to Don Village.

Don Village is one of the most beautiful locations in the area, offering stunning views of valleys and mountain ranges. It is home to the Thai ethnic minority, with nearly 100 traditional stilt houses. Early morning is a wonderful time to explore the village, observe local lifestyles, and enjoy the surrounding natural beauty. Spend time experiencing the daily life of the villagers.

Continue cycling over gently rolling hills and down into another peaceful valley, where you’ll visit a local workshop and discover the traditional process of producing Can wine, a unique cultural specialty of the ethnic minorities. Along the way, enjoy frequent and enriching stops at welcoming local homes, where villagers craft traditional costumes and intricate handicrafts.

Pedal onward beside a tranquil river, through fertile farmland and emerald rice paddies, until you reach Lang Tom. Continue riding across a suspension bridge over the Cham River, where gorgeous rice terraces stretch along the winding riverbanks. Continue biking through ethnic minority villages along the Ma River. This is a great opportunity to admire and ride across a traditional bamboo floating bridge.

Continue the day meandering through beautiful countryside and rustic villages along the Ma River before cycling toward a local market, where your support vehicle awaits for a 2-hour transfer to Cuc Phuong National Park.
