Established in 1962, Cuc Phuong is Vietnam's oldest national park, located about 120 km southwest of Hanoi across the provinces of Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh, and Thanh Hoa. It is famous for its tropical forest, limestone mountains, rich wildlife, and Muong culture. The park is home to over 2,200 plant species, 135 mammals, 336 bird species, and many rare animals such as the Clouded Leopard, Delacour's Langur, and Asian Black Bear. In spring, thousands of colorful butterflies fill the forest. Cuc Phuong also has great historical value, with fossils dating back over 200 million years and caves showing evidence of prehistoric people from about 7,500 years ago. Visitors can also explore nearby Muong villages and experience their traditional stilt houses, water wheels, bamboo rafts, and brocade weaving. Vietnam Bike Tours
