Cycling Adventure: Saigon to Hoi An 8D/7N

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for a domestic flight to Lien Khuong Airport. Upon arrival, meet your guide and driver for a scenic 20-minute journey to the cycling starting point. After a short bike fitting and adjustment session — including saddle height and handlebar setup — begin pedaling through Dalat’s lush countryside.

Ride past endless greenhouse gardens, fertile farmlands, and orchards bursting with temperate fruits. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing along winding backroads that meander beside gentle rivers, peaceful lakes, and rolling hillsides. The day’s cycling offers a wonderful blend of rural landscapes and refreshing highland scenery.

In the late afternoon, transfer to Dalat. The evening is at leisure for you to wander through the charming mountain town at your own pace, soaking up its cool climate and lively atmosphere while preparing for the exciting adventures ahead.

Begin with a one-hour transfer to the Lac Duong, outskirts of Bidoup National Park, northeast of Dalat, for a full day of cycling adventure. Ride along a newly paved mountain road through rolling hills, pine forests, tropical rainforest, and lush farmlands. The route offers stunning scenery, cool mountain air, and a mix of rewarding climbs and sweeping descents.

One highlight is the short but steep climb to Khanh Le Pass (Hon Giao), at 1,500m above sea level, where spectacular mountain views, waterfalls, and rainforest landscapes await. Support vehicles are always nearby for assistance. After refreshments at the summit, enjoy an exhilarating 29km downhill ride to a riverside restaurant for lunch.

In the afternoon, cycle at a relaxed pace through the countryside of Khanh Vinh, passing rice paddies, sugar cane fields, and local villages. Stop at a local market for coffee and fresh fruit before continuing to the historic Dien Khanh Citadel. A short transfer then takes you to Nha Trang in the late afternoon.

Depart Nha Trang at 7:30 am for a one-hour transfer to Van Ninh, a charming fishing township on Vietnam’s south-central coast. Begin cycling along a peaceful coastal road lined with colorful fishing boats, tiny harbors, and quiet seaside villages. Pedal through picturesque countryside dotted with rice paddies, local markets, and smiling schoolchildren waving as you pass by.

Stop at a lively local market to experience authentic daily life and sample fresh tropical fruits before continuing deeper into the rural landscape, passing fish farms and fruit orchards. The ride then leads to the short but rewarding climb over Co Ma Mountain, where spectacular panoramic views of Dai Lanh Beach and Vung Ro Bay unfold before you.

In the afternoon, we will climb up Ca Pass, 7 km with 150m gain, about 2.1% average grade, and we continue the day, riding down the coast of Vung Ro, pedal through picturesque landscapes, passing expansive shrimp farms and vast, lush rice paddies—some of the largest in central Vietnam—before heading onward to the peaceful rustic countryside, sometime along railways to the Phu Yen's Airport. We then take support vehicles transfer to Tuy Hoa City.

This morning, we’ll set off directly from the hotel, beginning our ride along a beautiful stretch of coastline. After approximately 4 kilometers of seaside cycling, we’ll turn onto quiet backroads leading to secluded sandy beaches before escaping into the tranquil countryside.

Pedaling through gently undulating landscapes of tapioca plantations, scenic lakes, and traditional fishing villages, we’ll make our way toward the remarkable Da Dia Reef. Known locally as Ganh Da Dia, this extraordinary natural wonder is one of Vietnam’s most unique coastal landmarks. Formed by ancient volcanic activity, the reef consists of perfectly interlocking basalt columns that extend along the shoreline of An Ninh Dong Commune. Covering approximately 100 meters in width and 250 meters in length, the site features an estimated 35,000 dark stone columns arranged in fascinating geometric patterns, including circular, pentagonal, hexagonal, and other polygonal shapes.

After exploring this spectacular geological formation, we’ll savor a delicious seaside lunch at a local beach restaurant. In the afternoon, our journey continues along peaceful rural roads and picturesque lagoon-side trails. Ride past colorful fishing sampans, lush farmland, emerald rice paddies, and quiet coastal hamlets, gaining a deeper glimpse into local life. A final crossing over a Tiger wooden bridge brings us to Highway 1A, where we conclude the day and transfer comfortably to the coastal city of Quy Nhon.

After a leisurely breakfast, we’ll have a short scenic transfer to a peaceful rural village nearby. From here, we follow a narrow, gently winding paved path through picturesque wetland communities, cycling along quiet country roads and intimate trails that meander through lush farmlands and emerald-green rice paddies en route to Con Chim (Bird Islet), a tranquil and unspoiled ecological sanctuary. 

Along the way, we pass through charming fishing villages where life moves at a timeless pace, offering glimpses into traditional fish-farming practices that have been preserved for generations. Continuing toward Cat Tien, we ride along scenic coastal backroads framed by sweeping ocean vistas, stopping at a laid-back seaside spot to enjoy a fresh and flavorful seafood lunch. 

In the afternoon, we cross the elegant De Nghi Bridge and follow peaceful countryside lanes tracing the shoreline of a serene freshwater bay. The route winds through idyllic rural landscapes, offering postcard-worthy views on our journey toward My Tho. From there, the terrain gradually changes as we head toward the forested foothills. Prepare for a rewarding 6-kilometer mountain pass, gaining 143 meters in elevation before enjoying a scenic descent through rice paddies and small countryside villages. 

We continue on Road TD632 to Binh Duong, where today’s cycling adventure comes to an end. We then board a comfortable shuttle for a 2.5-hour transfer to Quang Ngai, arriving in time to relax and reflect on another memorable day of exploration.

We depart from the hotel by shuttle and stop at the My Lai Massacre Memorial. During the Vietnam War, a company of American soldiers brutally killed the majority of the population of My Lai. Continue on the shuttle for a one-hour transfer to a rural village, where an exciting day of riding begins. Today bike ride takes us along peaceful back roads, through a small town, and across lush green rice fields. We follow quiet concrete paths that wind through vibrant villages, passing kindergartens and high schools, and cross rivers by local ferry boats. Enjoy dirt biking along the scenic Truong Giang River, whose branches reveal beautiful views of bamboo boats, wooden boats, and small fishing villages. Here, local families are busily at work as fishing boats return with their daily catch. Lunch will be served along the way. 

In the afternoon, we continue exploring the countryside, riding through lush farmland and rice paddies. We stop at local homes to learn about the culture and experience daily life. The route leads across vast farmlands and a network of rivers, crossed by small concrete bridges, passing tiny riverside houses. We then explore Cam Kim Island, riding through traditional villages, agricultural lands, and over bamboo bridges. After crossing the Thu Bon River. Check in the hotel.
