After breakfast, the Vietnam Cycling Tours team will collect you from your hotel and transfer you to Tram Ton Pass. From here, we begin with a gentle 3 km ascent to the summit of O Quy Ho Pass, one of Vietnam’s most spectacular mountain roads. At the top, take time to admire the breathtaking panorama of the Hoang Lien Son Mountain Range, with its dramatic peaks, deep valleys, and ever-changing clouds.

From the pass, enjoy an exhilarating 26 km descent to Binh Lu Junction. Stunning views unfold around every corner, with rugged mountains, dense forests, and cascading rice terraces creating an unforgettable backdrop. We follow quiet back roads through peaceful villages and picturesque countryside. The winding lanes lead us past traditional homes, fertile farmlands, and rolling landscapes before rejoining Highway 32 and stopping at a viewpoint before our picnic lunch.

We then continue off-road, following undulating paved roads through tea plantations, lovely valleys, and winding rivers, passing through villages nestled on the hillsides. Continue biking to Tan Uyen Township. Cross Road 32 and ride through another lush valley to the edge of the mountains, immersing yourself in gorgeous rice terraces and peaceful landscapes. As the route rejoins Road 32 at Pac Ta Market, we’ll hop on the shuttle for a 30-minute drive to the hotel.

After a hearty breakfast, we bid farewell to our host and hop on our bikes to begin an unforgettable day. The journey starts with a scenic ride across rice fields framed by towering mountains. We pass through a quiet town before turning onto small, hilly back roads that wind through charming villages, offering stunning panoramic views along the way.

Our route then descends into lush valleys and transitions onto a dirt road leading to Ban Chat Reservoir. Here, we embark on a scenic 2-hour boat trip across the tranquil lake—a unique opportunity to witness the everyday life of the ethnic communities living along its shores. Once the boat journey ends, we continue cycling through remote villages nestled on the mountain slopes and small fishing hamlets dotting the lakeshore.

Upon reaching Highway QL279, we transfer to Muong Gion by vehicle for a well-deserved lunch. The morning ride covers approximately 25 km. Following lunch in Muong Gion, we continue cycling through rolling mountains and descend to the Da River. From there, we ride on to Son La before a shuttle transfers us to Tuan Giao, bringing an exciting and scenic conclusion to an adventurous day.
