Located approximately 150 kilometers east of Hanoi, Quang Ninh is a coastal province in northeastern Vietnam. The province shares its northern border with China, while Hai Phong lies to the south and the Gulf of Tonkin stretches along its eastern coastline. To the west and northwest, Quang Ninh borders Lang Son and Bac Giang provinces, with Hai Duong situated to the southwest. Quang Ninh is best known for the world-famous Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its thousands of limestone islands rising majestically from emerald waters.
