Long An Province lies south of Ho Chi Minh City, with its capital, Tan An City, located approximately 45 kilometers from the city center. Although officially part of the Mekong Delta region, Long An occupies a unique transitional position between southeastern and southwestern Vietnam. To the north, the province shares an international border with Svay Rieng Province in Cambodia. While Long An is not yet a major destination for international tourists, it offers several attractive attractions that are popular among domestic visitors. Notable sites include the Hundred-Column House (Nha Tram Cot), Tan Lap Floating Village, the Phuoc Loc Tho Ancient Village, and the Dong Thap Muoi Ecotourism Area, which showcases the natural beauty and wetland ecosystems of the region.
