Cycling Phnom Penh to Udong. The Highlight of this biking is to ride through its countryside, see the daily life activities of the local farmers and  visit A dazzling modern temple houses a relic of the Buddha, and offers a sensational view of the surrounding area. There are also several stupas that contain the remains of various Cambodian kings. In various stages of disrepair are a collection of chapel-like shrines, venerated by the faithful. Udong offers spectacular views of the surrounding country and the innumerable sugar palm trees that punctuate the countryside. Take a leisurely cycle through the rice paddies and small village communities, stopping along theway to learn a little about the lives of the people who call this area home and to enjoy some delicious local snacks. Reach Udong Mountain around lunch-time and enjoy a picnic before visiting the temple. This towering temple is perched on a mountain that was the capital of Cambodia for around 200 years until it was moved to what is now Phnom Penh.
