Northwest Vietnam Mountain Cycling Tours. The French defeat at Dien Bien Phu in 1954 signalled the end of French influence in Indochina. The battle fought around Dien Bien Phu was the last major campaign by a European state in the region; by the end of the decade the United States was to become the prominent foreign power in Vietnam and the influence of France dwindled to barely nothing – such was the impact of their defeat at the hands of General Giap’s forces. Day 01 : Hanoi ( night train to Laocai )
You will be pick up at the airport or meet in Ha Noi and transfer to the railway station. Take an evening train to Lao Cai.  Overnight on the train.

Day 02 : Lao Cai- Sapa (B/L/D) (20 km)
The next morning, our guide and driver will welcome you at the railway station of Lao Cai. Have breakfats in town before driving on spiral roads up  to Sapa. In the afternoon, ride 20 km on the valley of Sapa.

Day 03 : Sapa - BanHo (B/L/D) (50 km)
Ban Ho owned  the most spectacular scenery in Sapa and also the homeland of Red Dao minority people. Start your bike rides to TaVan village. Cycle past through valley and pay a visit to Red Zao village. Then continue to Tay village of Ban Ho. from here you could ride back or take ninivan driving back to Sapa. Over night in Sapa  

Day 04: Sapa - TamDuong - Paso 90 km (B/L/D)
Start cycling from Sapa, pedal 16 km uphill to the highest pass of Tram Ton ‘’Heaven Gate’’. It about 2000 meters above the sea level, then downhill  26 km quiet back road through local village with breathtaking scenery to Binh Lu. In the afternoon, continue to pedal to Pa So via Tam Duong. Overnight in Pa So

Day 05 : Paso - LaiChau Old town(B/L/D) (80 km)
Cross mountains area, beautiful valley and pass tribal villages. Lunch in large Vietnamese village. Ride into Lai Chau valley. Crossing the junctions of Da and Na rivers and keep pedaling on back road along the river to Lai Chau, Muong Lay

Day 06: Lai Chau  DienBienPhu 105 km (B/L/D)
Ride from Lai Chau. Ride uphill to the highest pass in this province. Cross mountain passes to DienBien Phu. Take tour of historic Dien Bien Phu, Visit museum, cemetery, French war bunkers and battle sites. Ovenight in Dien Bien Phu.

Day 07 : DienBienPhu - Hanoi (B)
Have a breakfast at the hotel and enjoy your own free time until your driver transfer to airport. Arrive in Ha Noi on the same day. Tour end!
