Central Highlands / Central Coast

Day 1 - Transfer from either HCM city or Nha Trang City to the Central Highlands in our comfortable, air-conditioned van, reaching Di Linh via Bao Loc, The tea capital of Viet Nam . We Will have lunch at a temple in Bao Loc stop, then start biking 37 kms to Di Linh and explore the large green fields and environs. Sleep at a nice guesthouse where is surrounded by mountains in Di Linh.

Day 2 - To Li Liang (Gung Re) Waterfalls (17 kms) in the morning. Enjoy the cool and nice waterfall that is visited by very few travelers. Then we return to Di Linh. After lunch, Cycle 45 kms to Tung Nghia, two downhill sections. Sleep in Tung Nghia.

Day 3 After Breakfast, Go 23 km. to Da Lat. Short descent into the town from the top of the pass. Sightseeing in Da Lat, which is quite hilly, so it may well be on foot. Market, hilly streets, coolest climate in all of southern Viet Nam. Fun to walk around at night, too. Sleep at a quiet hotel in Da Lat.

Day 4 - Leaving early, we will climb 1,600 m (again, cycle or ride in the van) then enjoy the terrific double descent to the Song Pha Valley. From cool pines covered mountains quickly turn into semi-desertcountry, from which we will continue to the coast. During the SW monsoon season ( May to November) there are very strong headwinds here and we will take the van to the coast. Sleep in bungalows which are just a step away from the beach in Ca Na. Enjoy fresh and lovely seafood there.

Day 5 -Relax at the Ca Na beach and get back to either HCM city or Nha Trang City ( as your wish) in the late-afternoon.

Another Option - The Mekong Delta

Please note that: this option of 5-day interary for those who are picked at the airport in HCM City. Otherwise, we have to spend an extra day in either Ca Na or HCM City on the way to The Mekong Delta.

Day 1 - From the airport by 24-seat AC van to the Mekong Delta town of Cao Lanh. Stop over the t-junction of My Tho for Lunch, then go by van to Cao Lanh. Sleep in Cao Lanh.

Day 2 - In the morning visit Xeo Quit, a re-creation of National Liberation Front (NLF) HQ during the war. Eat Banh Xeo--a delicious yellow crepe made with egg and rice flour, with minced meat and vegetables inside, eaten with lovely tasty herbs, some of which are only grown in the delta region. In the afternoon transfer to the charming river town of Hong Ngu. We will stop take the Voi Lua ferry and cycle to Hong Ngu via the Holy Religious See of the Hoa Hao Buddhist sect, crossing the river 3 times. Sleep in Hong Ngu at a family-run hotel.

Day 3 - Visit Long Khanh island, a small island (12-km circumference) in the Mekong River. It is very rustic and beautiful. We can cycle or go by bicycle-pulled carriage. The people here are very fantastic, nice pagodas, both Cao Dai sect and a very old Vietnamese Buddist temple. The van Will transfer us to another T-junction to cycle to Cho Moi via Tay island. Due to the small ferry the van can not go along with us and will meet us at Cho Moi, where we will have lunch. After lunch, we will cycle on a small road to the Ferry to Long xuyen, where we will spend the night.

Day 4 -Cycle 44-km to Tri Ton, in the magical Seven Mountains area, a nice change from the flat delta countryside. Ride after lunch to the shrine of the Viet Nam 'Killing Fields' by Khmer Rouge invaders in April 1978 at Ba Chuc Village. Transfer then to Can Tho. Sleep at a pleasant resort.

Day 5 - Visit a less-touristed Floating Market ( do the river tour by boat), then transfer back to either Ho Chi Minh City or to Chau Doc-- The border town between Viet Nam and Cambodia ( for those who want to head to Cambodia). The journey through the Delta to HCMC takes roughly 5-6 hours, crossing the Australian My Thuan Brige over the Mekong River. Sleep either at a hotel in HCMC or in Chau Doc.
